How tough is short hand to learn?

Two popular shorthand systems: Pitman and Gregg.

1. **Pitman Shorthand:**

   - **Concept:** Pitman is phonetic, meaning it's based on sound rather than spelling.

   - **Example:** The word "cat" might be written as "k-a-t."

2. **Gregg Shorthand:**

   - **Concept:** Gregg is more based on the natural movements of the hand and is considered more intuitive.

   - **Example:** The word "cat" could be represented by a unique symbol, combining sounds and shapes, like a small curve followed by a horizontal line.

Learning shorthand involves memorizing symbols or strokes for common sounds, words, and phrases. The goal is to write quickly and efficiently. Regular practice with common words and phrases helps reinforce memory and increase speed.

Remember, the difficulty can vary based on personal preferences and the specific system chosen. It's a skill that improves with consistent practice over time.
